Founder & Creative Director Debbie is the visionary behind DE TIAMO, blending timeless design with ethical fashion. As the brand’s founder and fashion creator, she guides the creative journey and steers the ship with passion and purpose.

Georgie brings fresh energy and creativity to DE TIAMO. With a Bachelor of Design specialising in fashion and a passion for innovation, she leads our design direction with Debbie beside her as mentor and guide while she gains experience. She works hands-on with the studio team and connects with customers with her vibrant spirit.

With nearly 20 years at La Poppot restaurant/café in Hilton, Les brings a wealth of experience to our team, helping manage stock, retail, and delighting customers with great cakes and coffee

Nonto, our second team member, combines her BComm background with a passion for creativity. A perfectionist at heart, she leads the studio with quiet strength, ensuring every garment is crafted with pride while mentoring the women to refine their skills and grow.

Promise was the very first lady to join our studio team. She began her journey at DE TIAMO during COVID, when Debbie taught her to sew after noticing her creative flair while working in the garden. Quick to master the skill, Promise soon became a mentor to every new team member who followed. Today, she works closely with Nonto, playing a key role in shaping the studio’s craftsmanship and spirit.

Minerh, the third member to join our studio, quickly revealed her natural talent for sewing. A dedicated and highly skilled team member, she now also helps train and mentor new studio members, sharing her expertise and passion. 

Nontu joined as our fourth team member in the studio and quickly mastered her craft with guidance from the studio. Now highly skilled, she brings warmth and positivity to the team with her constant smile. 

Meet Nontu Zondi - our cheerful jack-of-all-trades! From studio work to front of store, whipping up coffees, pressing, checking, and packing orders - she really does it all (and always with a smile!).

Amanda Mzolo, our Chief Cutting Queen, is a true all-round talent! From helping in the studio to front of house and even the coffee shop, she does it all. But her superpower lies in the studio, where she carefully cuts each garment - the first step in creating magic for our seamstresses.

Thobi Mabuza is our brilliant barista with world-class coffee skills! She whips up delicious cakes under Les’s guidance, charms customers with her knowledge of our clothing and brand, and still finds time to lend a hand in the studio with pressing, packing, and dispatching.

Zee Mchunu is the friendly face of our Netherwood store, bravely running it solo with her signature smile. She takes wonderful care of every customer, keeping the store running smoothly while spreading warmth along the way.

Sizwe Buthelezi is the one man in our all-ladies team - and our outdoor hero! He keeps the grounds immaculate, takes care of all maintenance, and ensures our studio and store always look world-class and beautiful.
