Special Orders Ts&Cs

At De Tiamo, we are pleased to offer Special Orders made specifically to your preferences. This includes garments made to your provided measurements or produced in a requested fabric colour out of the variety that we offer.

As these pieces are custom-made especially for you, certain terms and conditions apply. Please read the following Terms & Conditions carefully before placing a Special Order.

 

Please note that some requested changes cannot be guaranteed. All requests must be reviewed and approved before any further steps are taken.

 

1. Definition of Special Orders

A Special Order refers to:

• Garments made to your specific measurements.
• Slight design modifications requested by the customer. Eg: shortening / lengthening of hems.
• Custom colour requests not currently available in the product.
• Any item altered or produced outside of standard stock specifications.

All Special Orders are subject to these Terms & Conditions.

 

2. Special Order Fees

An additional Special Order fee applies to all bespoke requests.

• The fee is determined based on the nature and complexity of the requested changes.
• Fees may vary depending on fabric adjustments, pattern alterations, colour sourcing, or custom sizing.
• The Special Order fee is subject to change at the discretion of De Tiamo.
• The additional SO fee starts at R180.

The final fee will be confirmed before invoicing.

 

3. Measurement-Based Orders

Customers requesting garments made to their own measurements must:

• Complete the official De Tiamo Measurement & Special Order Form in full.
• Ensure all measurements provided are accurate and correctly submitted.
• If there are any concerns on the items fit, you may be asked to be present for a fitting.

De Tiamo is not responsible for fit issues resulting from inaccurate measurements supplied by the customer or the customers absence of an arranged physical fitting.

Garments made to your own measurements are classified as custom-made items.

 

4. Colour Orders

Customers may request an item in a colour not currently available in the product.

Please note:

• Custom colour requests are subject to fabric availability.

Custom colour orders are considered Special Orders.

 

5. No Returns or Refunds

All Special Orders are final sale.

This includes:

• Items made to custom measurements
• Items altered from standard sizing
• Items produced in a custom colour
• Any garment modified at the customer’s request

Special Orders cannot be returned, exchanged, or refunded.

These conditions align with our Sale Items policy.

 

6. Order Process & Invoicing

1. The customer completes and submits the Special Order colour / Measurement Form.
2. De Tiamo reviews the request and confirms feasibility.
3. An invoice is issued reflecting:
• The garment price
• The applicable Special Order fee
4. Production will only commence once full payment has been received.

 

7. Production Timeframes

Production timelines for Special Orders may differ from standard orders.

Estimated timelines will be communicated once the order details are confirmed.

Delays caused by unforeseen production circumstances may occur. Customers will be informed should this happen.

 

8. Acceptance of Terms

By submitting a Special Order form and proceeding with payment, you acknowledge and accept these Terms & Conditions in full.
