Handcrafted with regenerated cotton canvas using recycled cotton fibres, we have been utilising regenerated cotton for all our solid canvas colours and for some of our striped ones since 2008.

Fit & Sizing

Left or right? Either.

In keeping with the original espadrille, De Tiamo espadrilles have no left or right foot. Wear them either way. Over time the jute sole moulds to your feet and you'll settle into the pair that feels right.

Breaking them in

Espadrilles are comfortable from the first wear, but a new pair can feel snug. That's normal. The cotton canvas upper has natural give and will ease with wear. If you'd like to speed things up, wear them around the house with thick socks for an hour or two, or lightly dampen the canvas and wear them until dry.

Our linen clothing is designed for a relaxed, comfortable fit, so exact sizing isn't always necessary. For styles where sizing is important, a detailed size chart is included on the product page.

When choosing your size, consider how you like your clothing to fit:

  • Prefer a looser fit → choose one size up.
  • Prefer a neater fit → choose one size down.

SA Size Range

  • XS → 30-32
  • S → 32-34
  • M → 34-36
  • L → 36-38
  • XL → 38-40
